Hi there, I am Loren and I am a mum to 3 beautiful adult children.  My husband and I along with our very spoilt Dachshund, named Poppy,  live in Nth Queensland.

Through the years I have had many creative pursuits but in 2020 I decided to immerse myself into painting.

 

I grew up in Southern Victoria surrounded by abundant flower gardens created by my family. The memory of all those deliciously fragrant and vibrant plants and flowers are very much part of the love I have for anything floral, flowers, or a beautiful scent. The elegance and grace of each petal excites my senses.  

 

My art is all about colour, energy, movement and the feeling I put into each piece.  The vibrant colours, form and movement are just some of the aspects that help to create depth and volume in my paintings. My art is constantly evolving and I am always experimenting, trying new subjects, different materials and substrates. Currently I am painting mostly in oils, acrylic and a little bit of mixed media. I believe we never stop learning.

When I am not travelling with my husband (and Poppy) I can be found in my studio creating.  On our travels I enjoy gathering as much new reference material as possible and always have my phone on hand to snap up a perfect shot to take back to my studio.  Painting has changed the way I look at everyday things, inspiration is around me every day.
